No consent banner needed

Our analytics uses no cookies and collects no personal data, so you don’t need a consent banner for it.

Sites must ask for consent before they store cookies on a visitor’s device or use their personal data. Most analytics tools do both: they set cookies to recognise returning visitors.

Our script does neither. It counts visitors without identifying them, so there’s nothing to ask consent for.

  • No cookies or browser storage

Our script doesn’t write to cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. Nothing is stored on your visitors’ devices.

Verified byBrowser tests in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit.

  • No personal data

We never store IP addresses. We use them in memory to look up the country and count unique visitors, then discard them. User-Agents are reduced to browser, OS and device type.

Verified byA scan of all stored data for test IP addresses and User-Agents.

  • No tracking across days

Unique visitors are counted with a daily ID built from a random salt, which we delete and replace every day. The same person on two different days counts as two visitors.

Verified byA test that checks a visitor gets a different ID each day.

  • No form data or user IDs

Form inputs never leave the visitor’s browser. We don’t accept user IDs, and no field can identify a person.

Verified byA test that checks every request the script sends against the published field list.

We collect no personal data, set no cookies and don’t track visitors across days. Your data is hosted in the EU.

You don’t need a consent banner for our script. If other tools on your site set cookies or use personal data, you still need consent for those. Once none do, you can remove your banner.

Data retention

We keep pageviews and events for 3 years, then delete them. Your dashboard shows up to 3 years of history.
