Install through Google Tag Manager

Add the script through Google Tag Manager without editing your site's code. It works the same as the snippet added by hand.

Prerequisites
Publish access to your site's Google Tag Manager container.

  1. Step 1: Copy your site's snippet

    Go to your sites, pick the site and copy the snippet from its setup page.

  2. Step 2: Create a Custom HTML tag

    In your container, go to Tags and click New. Name the tag, click Tag Configuration, choose Custom HTML and paste the snippet into the HTML field.

  3. Step 3: Set it to fire on all pages

    Under Triggering, select All Pages, then click Save.

  4. Step 4: Preview and publish

    Click Preview and open your site. The tag should show as fired on each page. Then click Submit and Publish.

  5. Done: You're all set

    Pageviews show up on your dashboard, just as with the snippet added by hand.
